WHAT IS THE CORRECT MEDITATION POSTURE?

There is no right ot wrong sittting in meditation, same as no right or wrong doing, acting. Meditation has no specific place or time, it is suitable for all conditions. Important is to set your mind right, but not the body.

WHY SOME CHOOSE A SCENIC PLACE TO MEDITATE, IF WE ANYWAY CLOSE OUR EYES?

Meditation doesn’t require an entourage, however, many find it helpful to quiet their mind with sceneic views before they start their practice. Eyes, closed or opened, are not important. We should be able to meditate in both ways. However, closing our eyes limits incoming information to our mind and makes it easier to concentrate.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED MEDITATION SESSION DURATION?

Ideally, there shouldn’t be any limit to medition. It shouldn’t be only an excersise while sitting on the coushion. Meditation is the natural state of mind, so we should aim at always maintaining mindfulness. However, new practitioners might have less ability and in order to develop it thezz should maiintain the regularity of their sessions with a minimum of one time per day, better two. Usually in the beginning of our day and in the end of it. Set your alarm for 15-20 minutes, which is much less than any movie or a TV show that one can habitually watch easily witth full attention. Train your mind and body for a new healthy habit.
With time, you will experience that by the end of your short session you reach a particular state of mind, when it is ready to discover more, then gradually grow your sitting to about one hour. Be free to adjust, but have determination!

SINCE WHAT AGE ONE CAN START LEARNING MEDITATION?

As soon as a child reaches the stage of understanding him/herself as a seperate identity in this world (approximately agge of 5), his/her mind is formed to face the reality. However, seeing an example of meditating parents from the very birth is always a wonderful preparatory basis.
